Shilparamam, a crafts village founded in 1992, is located just a few kilometers from Hyderabad, across 65 acres (260,000 m2) of land in India’s hi-tech hub city, safeguarding conventional artworks traditions and cultural heritage. The state government established this platform to promote and preserve Indian arts and crafts, as well as to motivate artisans. So, If one wants to know the History , Cultures, Craft beauty of Andra Pradesh, villages should not miss Shilparamam.

This Village lifestyle museum will give you outlook of our long back lost village lifestyle when every instrument, cultivation, carpentry inside village real look alike huts. Artist making idols, clay items for events. I was surprised seeing how beautifully families were depicted with clay doing household works, Puja, cooking food, children playing on woven cot, mothers doing puja with children , shops put on by villagers.

A large Peepal Tree was in amidst of village like it was for Panchayat or village get together like present days. A big Doli on Elephant was also shown by artists in which villagers were shown putting colors on and dancing side ways like getting ready for some festival. Also bullock ride is available.

We could not stop ourselves, from sitting near the Peepal Tree and to enjoy all the cool breeze around, reminding us of our village life.

4. Rock Garden

A large rocky landscape area is used to show different unique rock collections/formations, Numerous metal arts made from waste and metals into shapes like animals, fish, motor cycle many more also stones turned into owl, tongue, a baby crying, depression, destruction, aerospace, person sitting alone, person embracing oneself, knowledge etc. Making it all beautiful and did put me into deeper thoughts.

5. Recreational Area

Shilparaman Hyderabad has few recreational Area and clubs inside its vicinity, where I saw many families sitting together for sort of small picnic, having lunch spending time with children. One can peacefully enjoy the beauty of flowers, gardens , water falls and bird park inside. later can visit Shilpkala Vedica.

6. Food and Fun

If you are a street food lover then inside Shilparamam various food stalls, restaurants and cafes will be your stop after all day walk. I found various dishes like Biryani, Veg rice, chats, dosas, pakoras, pao bhaji, golgappe, KFC all type of yummy street food.

7. Cultural Programs

Various events like drawing competition was also organized inside Shilparamam, giving chances to various young artist to draw and paint later closing with certificate and prize distributions. At evening, after we went across all the beautiful areas and shimmering lighting of Shilparaman, at 6 PM it was the time to become cultural event audience as this event occurs every Saturday Sunday. We saw few girls dressed as traditional dancers and performing classical dance forms.

8. Boating

For your peace of mind and view, one can go for boating watching ducks moving around in water, giving mesmerizing view.

9. A walk before you leave

Various God – Goddess idols like Krishna Radha ji, Gopiyan, Ganesh ji, Shiv Parvati ji made at perfect locations as when sun is setting gives us devotional senses. While walking more further saw offices turned into village huts houses with various plantations like garden.

10. Spots to Relax

Shilparaman Hyderabad has lots to see but when you get tired, move towards children play park , grassy lands to sit a while. Don’t miss Bird park which has birds which had almost got extinct /Rare to find, Amphi theatre, Lotus pond, Glass house, Puppt Show etc.
